How can I improve my sound quality?

Ensure your speakers are positioned directly opposite your ear canal. While wearing the helmet, locate where your ear sits. Remove the helmet, keep your finger in place, and align the speakers accordingly. Position them as close as possible, using Velcro booster pads if needed.

Can I use my unit in the rain?

Yes. All Cardo units are waterproof, allowing clear communication even in wet conditions.

How long does it take to charge my unit?

The Fast Charging feature provides 2 hours of talk time after just 20 minutes of charge. Full charge is reached within about 2 hours.

How can I get more run-time out of my battery?

Your Cardo unit supports “charge while riding.” Plug it into a motorcycle power source or portable power bank to extend usage beyond standard battery time.

Can I replace the battery in my unit?

No. Do not disassemble or replace the battery yourself—it can compromise waterproof protection. If the unit won’t hold a charge, try charging for 4 hours or using a different charger. Contact support if issues remain.

The unit doesn't seem to be charging or the battery doesn’t last as long as it should

Charge the unit for at least 4 hours. If that doesn’t solve the issue, try a different charger or cable. Contact support if problems persist. Do not open the unit, as it may lose waterproof integrity.

How do I make sure that my unit's battery lasts as long as possible?

Avoid leaving the device unused for more than 3 months without charging. Charge it for 4 hours every 3 months to maintain battery life.

Which mobile app do I need to download?

Download the Cardo Connect app for configuration, remote control, and software updates.

Does the SPIRIT line connect to other generation Cardo units?

Yes. SPIRIT units connect to all Cardo models via universal Bluetooth. Use standard Bluetooth pairing for Freecom+ and Packtalk. For G and Q units, start phone-pairing mode first.

How to pair to a non-Cardo headset using universal connectivity?

1) Start intercom pairing on your Cardo unit. 2) On the other headset, start mobile phone pairing. 3) Wait for pairing to complete.

Can I listen to music and be part of the intercom at the same time?

Yes. Intercom and music streaming work simultaneously. Your music volume will lower automatically when someone speaks over the intercom.

Something stopped working on my SPIRIT unit. What should I do?

Reset the unit to factory settings: press Intercom/Mobile + Volume Up + Volume Down until the LED flashes purple and the unit powers off. Then turn it back on.

Why can't I get the full intercom range?

Published range is measured under ideal conditions. Real-world range can be affected by mountains, trees, buildings, terrain changes, and radio interference.

Are there limitations in using music sharing?

Music sharing works between FREECOM X and SPIRIT units only. It does not work with older Cardo generations.

Is it possible to use it with my own earbuds or speakers?

Yes. Your unit supports any earbuds or aftermarket speakers using the 3.5mm jack port.

Do I need a phone to operate my unit?

Intercom and FM radio work independently of a phone. A phone is required only for music streaming and phone calls.

How can I get more intercom range?

Maximum range occurs under perfect, unobstructed conditions. Actual range may decrease due to obstacles and wireless interference.

Can I share music with any other Cardo unit?

Charge from a wall outlet using a proper AC/DC adapter. Avoid extreme temperatures and do not tamper with the battery.
