This is the late 23'+ built KRX1000 Primary Clutch. This was created to help solve some of the common problems with the <23' clutches and improve durability. The most common issue is a "gear shifting" feeling under acceleration or deceleration. This is caused by a groove being worn into the sheave face Additionally it has new weights and pins. The weights have a new profile and weight balance. We believe they made these changes to also better suit the heavier KRX4. This typically will provide better responsiveness than the old clutch in some cases even when equipped with aftermarket weights.

*It's always recommended to change the drive belt and clean the housing when replacing any clutch.
**Some 23' Krx1000's have the new clutch and/or weights some don't. See the images to help determine what you have. If yours is marked with a 75 or 77 it has the old clutch and weights in it.
